How to Delete a Twitch Clip After You Post It
Sometimes a Twitch clip needs to go.
Maybe you clipped the wrong moment. Maybe someone in your audience caught you at exactly the wrong time. Maybe a clip was created by accident. Or maybe you've looked through your old clips and decided some of them just don't represent your channel anymore.
Whatever the reason, you can delete Twitch clips from the Clips Manager inside your Creator Dashboard.
How to Delete a Twitch Clip
On desktop:
Log in to Twitch.
Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
Open Creator Dashboard.
Select Content from the left menu.
Click Clips.
Find the clip you want to remove.
Select the clip or check the box beside it.
Click the trash can or Delete Selected option.
Confirm that you want to delete the clip.
Once deleted, the clip will no longer be available through Twitch.
How to Delete Multiple Twitch Clips at Once
If you're cleaning up more than one clip, you don't have to delete them individually.
Go to:
Creator Dashboard → Content → Clips
Then:
Check the box beside each clip you want to remove.
Click Delete Selected.
Confirm the deletion.
This is useful if you've accumulated accidental clips, duplicates, weak clips, or old moments you no longer want representing your channel.
Why You Should Curate Your Twitch Clips
I curate my clips pretty heavily because clips are part of my channel.
I use them during my streams, including in places like my BRB screen, and clips can also appear when other streamers use video shoutout tools. Depending on how that tool works, it may pull one of your popular or available clips and play it for an entirely different audience.
That makes your clip library part of your public-facing brand.
If your most popular clip is hilarious and represents your stream perfectly, great.
If it's thirty seconds of you staring into space because somebody accidentally hit the Clip button, maybe not so great.
I periodically go through my clips and remove things that were created by mistake, aren't particularly interesting, don't represent the channel well, or simply aren't something I want circulating anymore.
Your viewers can help document your community, but you still get to curate what represents your channel.
Can You Delete Clips Other People Made of Your Twitch Stream?
If you're the streamer, you can manage clips made from your own channel through your Clips Manager.
Make sure you're looking at the section for clips of your channel, rather than only clips you've personally created.
This matters because your viewers can create clips too, and sometimes they are very enthusiastic about it.
And sometimes they are trolls.
We've all had that audience member who sees you make one ridiculous face, miss an easy shot, fall out of your chair, say something completely backwards, or have some other less-than-glorious moment and immediately thinks:
Yep. That's the clip.
Funny is funny, but you don't have to keep every clip your audience creates forever.
What If You Made a Clip on Someone Else's Twitch Channel?
Twitch also keeps track of clips you've created from other streamers.
From the desktop version of Twitch, go to your Creator Dashboard, open Content → Clips, and look for the section showing clips you've created.
Select the clip you want to remove and use the delete option.
If you're having trouble finding this on the mobile app, try Twitch through a desktop browser instead. Some clip-management controls are easier to access from the full Creator Dashboard.
Can You Edit a Twitch Clip Instead of Deleting It?
If the clip itself is wrong enough that you want to replace it, deleting it and creating a new clip may be the cleaner option.
Maybe you captured the wrong part of the moment. Maybe the beginning or ending is awkward. Maybe the title doesn't work. Sometimes starting over takes less time than trying to rescue a bad clip.

Should You Regularly Clean Up Your Twitch Clips?
If clips are an important part of your channel, yes.
You don't need to obsess over every clip your community creates, but it doesn't hurt to look through them occasionally.
Delete the accidents. Delete the clips that don't make sense anymore. Keep the moments that actually show people why your stream is worth watching.
Your Twitch clips aren't just leftovers from old streams.
They're a tiny video archive of your brand, your community, and your streaming history. You get to decide what stays in it.
